eBay "Lingo".

Here's a little list of lingo, useful to know, but which is not very necessary: Bid: is the maximum price you are prepared to pay for an item. Dutch: an auction where more than one of an item is available. Feedback: positive or negative comments left about other users on eBay. Mint: in perfect condition. Non-paying bidder: a bidder who wins an auction but does not then go on to buy the item. PayPal: an electronic payment method accepted by most sellers. Rare: used and abused on eBay, now entirely meaningless. Reserve: the minimum price the seller will accept for the item. Shill bid: a fake bid placed by a seller trying to drive up their auction's price. Snail Mail: the post, which is obviously very slow compared to email. Sniping: bidding at the last second to win the item before anyone else can outbid you.

Abbreviations: AUD: Australian Dollar. Currency. BIN: Buy it Now. A fixed price auction. BNWT: Brand New With Tags. An item that has never been used and still has its original tags. BW: Black and White. Used for films, photos etc. CONUS: Continental United States. Generally used by sellers who don't want to post things to Alaska or Hawaii. EUR: Euro. Currency. FC: First Class. Type of postage. GBP: Great British Pounds. Currency. HTF: Hard To Find. Not quite as abused as 'rare', but getting there. NIB: New in Box. Never opened, still in its original box. NR: No Reserve. An item where the seller has not set a reserve price. OB: Original Box. An item that has its original box (but might have been opened). PM: Priority Mail. PP: Parcel Post. SH: Shipping and Handling. The fees the buyer will pay you for postage. USD: United States Dollars. Currency. VGC: Very Good Condition. Not mint, but close. I personally would advise you against using "lingo" language unless absolutely necessary,as people on eBay are not experienced buyers and you will lose them if you write a load of lingo gibberish all over your auction.TO BE CONTINUED....

Ready to start selling? Before you sell, make sure that the items you plan to sell don't violate eBay's listing policies. Once you go through the listing policies, you then need to familiarize yourself with the different auction types. In an attempt to give people more choices,as and when they buy and sell eBay has different auction types. Normal Actions:Buyers bid, others outbid them, they bid again, and the person with the highest bidder gets the item. Reserve Auctions:This is for those sellers, who do not want to sell below a certain price called as "reserve price"If no-one is willing purchase at that reserve price then the auction is cancelled. Fixed Price ('Buy it Now') Auctions:Here the item has the option of getting sold in 2 ways..by normal auction and additionally a Buy it Now button,is added to the item for those potential customers who would like to buy immediately without bidding at a fixed price mentioned. Recently, eBay added the 'best offer'option. Here the buyers can contact the seller to bargain a price. However for getting the options to reserve and fixed price auctions as a seller you pay a small extra fee to use these formats. Multiple Item ('Dutch') Auctions:These type of auctions are rare and so we will not go into it.TO BE CONTINUED...

Decided to sell something on ebay? Before you jump deeply into ebay you should know a few things. What is it that you should sell: When you register at ebay be choosy about your user name.Select something which will be attractive,as this the name visitors will come across when they look at the product you have put up for sale. Then you need decide the what item to sell.Think about what you can sell comfortably. You can meet with success on ebay if you become a source for getting a line of product. sell You'll do far better on eBay if you become a solid source for certain kind of products. That is target a category of products to get targetted traffic. Selling rubbish at random will just spoil your reputation. Once you decide what to sell, try to sell a product or service on which you have a good knowledge. If you have no knowledge about what you are trying to sell, you will not be able to write a good description about the product and so you lose in first step itself in trying to attract customers and so are likely to fail.In other words to be a successful seller,it is necessary to have a perfect grasp on what you are trying to sell.Half-baked knowledge is of no use. Think out a product you know about, will get you a reasonable profit,is relatively small for you parcel at a low cost. Do not consider any item as "cannot sell".Remember that there's a market for almost everything on eBay, even for those items that wouldn't sell once in a year if you stocked them in a shop. Tax and Legal Matters. You should pay your own taxes.Ebay does not do it for you.If you decide to sell on eBay on a full-time basis, it is better to register as a business. Like in any business there are going to be ups and downs when you sell on eBay. Don't pack up and close shop if you meet wit failures intially.Successful sellers you see today are those who had decided to stick to it.Believe in yourself, and you will succeed.TO BE CONTINUED......

Maximize your income online

Unless you enjoy your work, refrain from accepting all work that comes your way.Iam talking about those that give you less earnings in return for the effort put in by you. Combine your work research to save time.Suppose you are doing a review for payment and the topic concerns the same niche, you could save time by researching the same,at the same time, without duplicating your content. When you have collected enough content covering several articles on a topic, consider the possibilty to sell the same with little variations to others besides the customer in question. So,a little bit of effort in this direction will let you earn more taking little of your time. Many depend on google adsense,as the only way to monetize your blog. For a start that is perfectly ok.But as you go on writing rich content and have carved a place for yourself on the web,you should explore more avenues of income, like selling ad space to name one.Others avenues are..writing paid reviews, joining affiliate programs for hot products, content writing, selling text links, renting ad space, games of skill, web designing services, data entry, medical transcription, and so on. If you are capable handling of simultaneous tasks well and good. Many bloggers underrate their efforts and capabilities and often charge less.Do not do this.Always base what you charge on the effort and time involved and the money you want to earn in a month/year.Do not forget that when you write content ,it does not come free..it involves research time, electricity for the computer,etc...I doubt whether any blogger blogs just for fun.Although nobody admits it every blogger or at least a major portion, aim to make money by blogging. At least i do not blog for fun.I aim to make some money,in return for sharing my views and information on varied topics through my blog. That's it.So i have no reason why i should charge less for my services.Value your time, try to earn as much as possible by trying to get the most out of your work day. Quality content will help promote and establish your authority and eventually bring in work. You should concentrate on writing about your chosen topic in such a manner that it is capable of drawing in potential customers and not just passing readers.Be patient. You will not earn or get clients immediately.Patience and consistent quality content is the key to success for earning online.Towards making fast money, some of you may have joined auto-surf programs, which i personally do not advocate. In my opinion it is sheer waste of time. This bit of advise is based on my own personal experience.Believe me nothing beats hard work. There is no short-cut to success and money.
